Come inside our campervan rental in Scotland! If you’re planning on road-tripping through Scotland, you’ve got to see this rig. It was perfect for our 2-week campervanning trip around the lochs and mountains of the highlands. Oh, and did we mention we had our 9-month-old baby with us the whole time! We’re sharing why we choose the vehicle we did, what it was like with a baby in the van, and some helpful tips you might want to hear as you plan your trip to Scotland.

How was the internet access in Scotland on the road? (I travel with a digital nomad and we are limited to where signal is). Any tips on equipment for making it better? Would LOVE a YouTube/podcast on this!!
Hey Meredith! There was actually a pretty good cell signal everywhere we went in Scotland. We typically connect via hotspot on our phones. The only weak signal I can remember was around the Glencoe area, and that was because of the mountains. But it was still manageable.
For this trip, we used an eSIM from Airalo on our phones and it worked out great! We have a whole article on eSIMs on our website: https://www.twowanderingsoles.com/blog/how-to-get-international-sim-card
Thank you for this video and for sharing your experience! Entertaining and educational!
Happy to hear you liked it Lisa! Cheers!
So awesome! I fell in love with Scotland watching Outlander. I would ❤ to do this trip one day! Thank you for the inspiration and info!
Outlander was seriously the reason we decided to book flights, haha! The landscape is stunning in Scotland!
Keep an eye out on our channel because in the next few weeks we’re going to be posting more videos on Scotland travel. But if you can’t wait until then, we have tons of information on our website about Scotland already, you could start here: https://www.twowanderingsoles.com/scotland
I gotta admit.. I came here to see how you’re doing it with the baby! 😀 My husband and I don’t expect to be able to travel much once we have a kid (planning to start trying in 6 months or so) so I’m hoping to find that you’ll prove us wrong (my husband especially – I’m pretty easy to sway when it comes to travel ;)!
You can totally do Van life with a baby! We just came off a 6-month campervan road trip with our daughter and we started when she was 7 months old. It was awesome, it also had its challenges of course, but we feel we are closer to our daughter than we could have ever been.
@Two Wandering Soles That sounds so fun! Not sure if I’d be able to do 6 months at a time, but cool that it’s even an option!
