FREE Silver from the Bank – Silver Coins at Face Value One of my banks called me to see if I wanted to buy some Dollar coins and half dollars from them. They called because I ALWAYS ask for those. This time, I scored myself 2 90% Silver Morgan Dollars, 1 40% Ike Dollar and 5 40% Silver Half Dollars (along with some presidential/sacagawea dollars and some clad coinage too). My total profit was $105 in free Silver! It’s always a good idea to ask your bank tellers if they have any half dollars, big dollar coins or old bills they would like to sell. Many tellers don’t mind getting rid of these “oddities” from their drawers to avoid having to count them each night or sending them back to the Federal Reserve.
