Hi. I want to finally try out invisalign but im a bit skeptical about the process with the clinic ive been to cos I was assessed by a different orthodontist than the one that’s gonna make my trays. The one who assessed me said i have minimal crowding and shouldn’t worry about having a longer treatment but the one making the tray said I should go for the comprehensive treatment. Idk if they just want to make a quick 4k. I dont know if I should get a second opinion on this

My dentist says I need invisalign because my 8 and 9 teeth are chipping from an over bite. A new dentist from the Air Force says I don’t need invisalign and just get 8 and 9 shaved, so I don’t have an issue. What’s your opinion on the situation?
I think it might just depend on how “deeply” you want to fix the issue. Getting your teeth shaved might stop the symptom (chipping) but doesn’t ultimately fix your bite. With invisalign, you’re probably looking at a lengthy treatment process that treats not just the symptom but an underlying cause (bite correction).
Smile Direct Club is a scam. They’re going through lawsuits as we speak.
I used SDC and it took wayyy long than it was suppose to take (1.5 years) and I did feel like one of my front teeth was going to fall out at one point and Ingot super scared but it eventually went away
My sister got root problems with braces under professional monitoring
No orthodontist would take me because it was COVID. I had to do at home aligners because otherwise I would have to have started two years later. I have had a pretty good experience with SDC and my dentist says my roots are strong. Personally, it sounds like the teeth community is upset you don’t have to pay for many overpriced visits

So how does it work with smile direct to have buttons like Invisalign to help move the teeth? If you have certain teeth out of wack seems like it would take much more time to properly move those teeth
