Kingbrite 800W Alibaba LED Grow light for a 5×5 grow tent with LM301H and added UVA and Far Red

The X55 800W Alibaba LED grow light by Kingbrite is designed to cover a 5ft x 5ft or 1.5m x 1.5 grow area. Packed with Samsung LM301H white LEDs, 660nm deep reds, 730nm Far Reds and 395nm UVA LEDs. This fixture delivers a full spectrum output suitable for growing from seed to harvest. The power supply is an 800 watt Inventronics LED driver, very high quality and efficiency.

It can be mounted on the back of the light or remotely outside the grow tent. I tested it in a 5×5 at 24″ or 60cm hanging height with the Apogee ePAR sensor. The average PAR was 787 µmols across the test area and delivers a system efficiency of 2.3 usable PPF/watt. 1. Since it’s LED, is the 800 Watts actual wattage, or does it represent 800 Watts incandescent? What does the Nameplate say for Amperage? Should be 240V/3amps or 120V/6amps. What I’ve been seeing is specs like .5 and 1amps ranges. For instance. A 60 watt incandescent bulb is replaced by a 9 watt LED. The LUMENS are the same. Thanks for the reviews.

  2. Thinking of building my own as I’m electrically minded and making things with wood and metal but short on cash the now to go out and buy one.

Has anyone done it and if so, did it work out cheaper?

You mentioned Alibaba for the light I’ve only recently had a look there and saw lm301h panels for sale but wasn’t sure if they were real and if not do they still do the job.

Just starting out to investigate if building my own LED grow light is worth it.
