How does pierce live that long? I tried this a moment ago and when I go outside he just dies to the ridicilous amount of stag enemies.
you can first kill a lot of stag enemies from above the penthouse, and because your objective is to go down and help pierce, his health bar is not shown yet. (so he has unlimited hp until you get down there)So, Kill a lot of enemies from above and then go down. itl be much easier
